cropping and rotating a photoAuthor | |
12/13/2003 4:54:40 PM | Almost every photo that you work with will need some sort of cropping and adjustment. Photoshop provides us with a very useful tool called the "Cropping Tool" that chops down the image and rotates it. The first step is to enable the cropping tool. Notice that the top left tool is selected. There are different icons that can be visible in this location. You can change them by holding down the mouse on the icon to show the other available ones. Unfortunately I couldn't get an easy grab of this step so you'll need to play around until you get the icon to look like the one selected down below. That was the hard part. Next simply draw a rectangle around the area of the image that you want to keep. If you move the mouse outside of the newly drawn rectangle you can click and drag to rotate the rectangle. When you are done double click in the rectangle to crop and rotate the image. You can cancel the operation by pressing the escape key.
