I was only ten feet away when I noticed it. So a hurried photo before leaving it alone. Actually, in the case of marine mammals, our human legislature requires us to stay at some distance. They don't care about other creatures, though -- in fact, there were some that I helped today that I'm sure they would prefer I tread upon.
